ACTIVITIES 2022-23
Hindi Diwas
Poster Making and Creative Writing Competition were organized by the Department on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on 14th &15th September, 2022. Approximately, sixty students of B.A and B.A. B.Ed participated enthusiastically. In this Competition, students of the college expressed their love for Hindi language by writing on the famous Hindi poets such as Sarveshvar Dyal Saxena, RamDhari Singh Dinkar, Subhadra Kumari Chohan, Shri JaiShankar Prasad and Nirala. Apart from this, students also made beautiful posters in Hindi language. In her address to the students, the worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prasher emphasized the historical, cultural and economic significance of the Hindi Diwas and encouraged the students to feel proud in making Hindi the language of their daily use. The Principal congratulated the department for the successful conduct of the event and extended her best wishes to the participants.
MODEL MAKING COMPETITION
A model making competition was organized on 3rd October, 2022. The main aim of this competition was to develop creativity in the students. Students participated in this activity with great enthusiasm and prepared beautiful models.
Green or Eco-friendly Diwali is the same as the festival of lights, but with a difference that we ensure that the environment is not harmfully impacted. Keeping this in mind an activity was organized on 20th October, 2022 by the department under the theme “Diwali fest Eco- friendly” to celebrate the Diwali. Under this theme, students prepared gift items such as wall-hanging, coloured flower pots, candle tray etc. with the help of waste materials. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar congratulated the participants.
COMPETITION ON MICRO TEACHING SKILLS
With the motive to increase self confidence and inculcate the teaching skills among the students, a micro teaching competition was organized on 9th November, 2022. Students participated and showed different teaching skills. Arshpreet Kaur got first prize, Ashima nailed it to second prize and Firdoush got third prize. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar felicitated the winners and motivated the students to participate in such competition for their holistic development.
SEMINAR
Indian women have significantly contributed in the field of Hindi literature equal to men writers. A seminar was organised with the collaboration of department of Hindi on the topic “Contribution of Women writers in Hindi Literature” on 10th November 2022. Students of B.A. and B.A. B.Ed. participated enthusiastically. Students threw light on the literature written by the different women writers. About Fifty students participated in the seminar. Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated the students.
COMPETITION ON TIMELINE
A competition was organized on topic "Preparation of Timeline on Historical Events" on 17th February 2023. The main aim of this event was to give them knowledge about different teaching aids and development of creativity. Students of Semester VI participated in this competition and prepared beautiful Timelines on different topics. Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated the students and motivated them to take part in such type of activities.
ACTIVITY ON BLACKBOARD WRITING SKILL
An activity was organized for students on the topic “Black-Board Writing Skill on 27th February 2023. The main aim of this activity was to make the Pupil Teacher aware how to use the black board to make teaching more interesting. All the Students participated in this activity with great enthusiasm. Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar motivated students to take part in such type of activities to learn more skills.
. CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY
International Women Day was celebrated on 9th march 2023. The purpose of celebrating this day was to raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. A slogan writing competition was organized on this day. Students participated in this event and prepared beautiful charts. Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated all the participants.
National Webinar
A national webinar was organized on 19th April, 2023. Dr. Dinesh Chahal (Professor) from central university of Haryana was the resource person of this day. Topic of this webinar was NEP 2020 and Teacher Education. Dr. Dinesh Chahal threw the considerable light on the topic. It was really an informative session.
INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR
An International Webinar was organized on 22nd April, 2023. The theme of the webinar was “Women and Politics in South Asia.” The keynote speaker was Dr. Khum Prasad Sharma (Lecturer in English) from Padmakanya Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar accorded a warm welcome to the speaker. Dr. Khum Prasad gave a very informative lecture on the topic.
