Poster Making Competition
Date- 3rd September 2024
A poster making competition was organized in the B.A. B.Ed. department on 3rd September 2024. This competition aimed to allow students to express their gratitude and respect for their teachers through creativity and art. 27 students participated in it with great enthusiasm. It was the good exposure for the students.

A
Moulik Lekhan Pratiyogita was organized by the Hindi Sahitya Dhara of Hindi
department with the collaboration B.A. B.Ed. department to celebrate Hindi Diwas
on 14th September 2024. The event aimed to celebrate the
significance of the Hindi language and encourage students and participants to
express their thoughts in the form of short stories, poems and essay. 60
students participated in this event.

A One-Day Orientation cum Review Workshop on ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’ for Doaba region was successfully organized at PCM SD College for Women by B.A. B.Ed. department, in collaboration with NITTTR, the Regional Coordinating Institute of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The workshop aimed to acquaint participants with innovative proposals and technologies geared towards sustainable rural development, in line with the objectives of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

A blackboard writing competition was organized on 26th
September 2024 in the department as a part of educational activities which aimed
at enhancing the writing proficiency of the students. 18 students of the
department participated in this activity with enthusiasm and zeal. Students got
a chance to present their artistic and aesthetic skills through this event. It was
a very good opportunity for the students to improve their writing skills.

competition was organized on the theme “Preparation of Teaching aids using best
out of waste with the objective of promoting creativity, innovation and
environmental awareness among students. 21 Students participated in this event
and created beautiful Teaching models using waste materials.
One Week Program on Mental Wellness for All- “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges” Date- 17th February to 22nd February
A
one week program on “Mental Awareness for All: Breaking Barriers Building
Bridges” was organized with the collaboration of Adolescent and Psychiatry cell
and department of psychology. A series of interactive sessions were conducted
by renowned psychologists and mental health experts. A Meditation and yoga session was held to
achieve inner peace. A games-based relaxation technique was also
conducted.

one day National Webinar was organized on 3rd April 4, 2025 on the
topic “Enhancing Communication Skills for effective Implementation of NEP 2020.
The Keynote Speaker was Mrs. Bhavna Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of
English, Shimla.

A ten days internship was organized for the students of semester-IV (18 students participated) with the objective of providing hands-on experience in art and fostering creative skills. The recourse person, Ms. Manzil Singh, shared valuable insight on various colour combinations and art techniques. Throughout the program, students actively participated in a range of activities including sketching, painting and poster-making. Under expert guidance, students created a variety of beautiful and expressive charts. Students expressed that the internship boosted their confidence and helped them discover new artistic interests.
Internship on Yoga and Meditation

A
ten days internship on Yoga and Meditation was organized for the students of
Semester-I (19 Students participated) with the objective of promoting physical
well-being, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The sessions were conducted
by a trained instructor Mrs. Dimple Khanna, who guided students through various
yoga poster, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques. Each day began
with a warm-up followed by asanas what focused on flexibility, strength, and
posture. The meditation sessions helped students develop mindfulness and stress
management skills, which are essential for both academic and personal growth.
The internship concluded with a reflective session, where students shared their
experiences and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
